William Ackerman is a musician specializing in acoustic-based instrumental music. After attending Stanford University, Ackerman dropped out to become a carpenter. After some friends encouraged William to record some of his music and put together an album, Ackerman agreed, and found himself with a successful album, and in the music business.Ackerman has continued to produce his own albums and Windham Hill albums for other artists.
