"Spirit tapping" is a purported phenomenon which is said to be heard during seance and spiritist invocations supposedly coming from "spirits of the departed", "ascended masters", "spirit guides", "familiar spirits", evil spirits posing as and taking the form of departed loved-ones, et al. as being the proof positive that a spirit is "making contact" with the medium and seekers. Many claimed that it was a spiritual morse code and other various claims or origination. Eye and ear witness accounts of such activities have been reported as has the discovery that many times the sounds were being made under the table by or in the pockets of various "magicians" charlatans and spiritist mediums themselves.
