The Area 51 novels are a series of science fiction novels by American author Robert Doherty.

The series details the influence over human history by an alien race, the Airlia. In the opening book a number of alien spacecraft land on Earth, and human scientists rush to control this invaluable discovery. They find the Area 51 facility in Nevada as a base for their operations. As the series unfolds, it transpires that the aliens have influenced the ancient Egyptians, ordered the construction of the Great Wall of China, and may be planning to completely colonise the Earth.

The novels weave a complex conspiracy theory tale, based on the secret base in the Nevada desert, the Roswell UFO incident, and the legend of the Holy Grail. Further, it

covers ancient mysteries such as the existence of Atlantis, the Pyramids of Giza and the statues of Easter Island. Far reaching, far flung and thorough, this series is bound to induce deep thought and possibly disturb long held beliefs.
